Chinese Decorative Lacquered Wood Jardiniere, small, elegant form carved from a single segment of wood, raised high on four cabriole curving legs, top consisting of a rectangular open box with slightly outward flaring sides, front panel decorated with a flowering branch carved in high relief within a frieze band of a stylized geometric pattern, exterior covered in an opaque red lacquer, possibly used to display a decorative small plant sculpture.
Minor signs of wear, age cracks, losses to lacquer overall fine condition.
