About the Item

This is collected from rivers and mountains. It is a natural stone, and only the surface has been polished. It is rounded, so I think it was probably picked up from a river. I think it was quarried because it resembled the shape of a daruma doll. What is "Daruma"? A monk, Daruma, who introduced Buddhism from India to China. It was introduced to Japan and is widely popular among Japanese people as a Japanese figurine that imitates the zazen figure of Daruma. It is very popular as a lucky charm. There are reference images of Daruma dolls, so please take a look if you are unfamiliar with them. In Japan, stones that contain two or more colors are sometimes called "nishiki stone," and this also contains colors such as red and green. It looks like oil paint with a variety of colors mixed in, and it is very interesting to look at. It is palm-sized, but it is attractive. The base is also beautiful, as it is carved specifically for this stone. It blends in wherever you place it, so it would be nice to place it in your bedroom, study, or entrance. And it comes with a special wooden storage box. The lid has "Daruma stone" written on it in Japanese. I can confidently recommend this item. How about showing off to your friends around you?
