About the Item

A rare, Italian, Rosso Veronese fragment of a lion head mounted on a steel base. Possibly 17th Century. Rosso Verona is a well-known marble that takes its name from the Verona Region in Northern Italy. There is evidence of an old repair to a crack the runs around the face and head. In strong structural condition. Please see photos. Dimensions: 14″L x 9.75″W x 17″H on 8″ Square Base
