About the Item
This sizable sculpture is unsigned with respect to the artist, but presumed to have originated from China and date to the Early Republic Period in approximately 1920. The sculpture is composed of a large piece of grape vine that has been hand-crafted to with wired multi-colored hardstones to resemble a flowering kumquat or cherry tree. The tree sculpture is set in a period cloisonne pot.
