About Ganesh
In Hinduism, Ganesha is one of the most well-known and revered deities. Has the title as the God of knowledge and intelligence, the God of protection, the God of repel or disaster and the God of wisdom.
The semi-elephant semi-human deity is also known as Ganesha, Ganapati and Vinayaka. In the Hinduism, Ganesh has the statues of the most popularly worshiped god in the pantheon. His iconography is widely found throughout South Asian countries from India, Nepal, Sri Lanka to Bali (Indonesia) and Bangladesh, across all different Hindu denominations. Devotion to Ganesha is widely diffused and extends to Jains and Buddhists as well. Ganesha is widely revered as the remover of obstacles, the patron of arts and sciences and the deva of intellect and wisdom. As the god of beginnings, he is honored at the start of rites and ceremonies. Ganesha is also invoked as patron of letters and learning during writing sessions. This statue depicts Ganesh in his classical four-arm seated form oversized ears and protruding belly. His hands hold a conch, a roll of ropes, sweets for reward and a blessing.

"The bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara is the Buddhist embodiment of compassion. He is often portrayed as an elegant and gracious youth. The cult of Avalokiteshvara worship originated in India and spread across Asia, along with other Buddhist philosophies and practices. In some places Avalokiteshvara eclipses the Buddha in importance. Buddhist rulers, such as Prince Shotoku in Japan and the Dalai Lama in Tibet, have been seen as incarnations of this saviour.
In Nepal, Buddhism flourished alongside Hinduism long after the religion had lost favour in India. Although the kings of the Early Malla period who ruled the Kathmandu Valley were Hindu, some of the greatest artistic achievements of the age were Buddhist. This gilt copper figure...
