About the Item
In this listing you will find an Antique hand-carved jade bi disc with animal motifs, depicting a feline creature. These items were significant in ancient China, particularly during the Han dynasty, and served as powerful symbols. Traditionally, the circular shape symbolized heaven and the sky, accompanying the deceased in the afterlife in burials. Made in China in the 19th century.
The pendant has been repaired by the previous owners. Signs are visible in the pictures.
