We guarantee that this ancient bell's resonating sound will please you This is an extraordinary old and signed set consisting of one hand-hammered bronze temple bell and an antique red lacquered lotus display base. Each is accompanied by its very own special handmade wooden box. This is very unusual- we have never previously seen such a set. The boxes are both signed indicating pride of ownership and a former important owner. The bell is a hand-hammered and a wrought bronze percussion instrument which was created by specialized 19th century Samurai craftsman with dimpled construction. This temple bell sets atop a round lacquered footed lotus style wood display base with silk pillow and wooden striker. When struck, the bell creates a serene reverberating sound perfect for stress relief meditating, or as a warm, welcoming and pleasant house guest dinner chime indoors or out of doors. Dimensions: Overall 27 inches high and 16 inches diameter (bell only is 12 inches high and 16 inches diameter) Signature: The signed wooden box is an Edo period signature Fine quality. Only one.
