About the Item

Mystical and alluring, this stone relief carving from North India depicts the Hindu god Ganesha. Attributed to the 10th century or later, the palm-sized icon is chiseled from dark stone with wonderful detail, showing Ganesha as seated in repose with four arms and simple finery.
