This is a kokeshi doll made with a white birch. It was made around 1980s in Showa era. This kokeshi is with new style.
Dimension: H21 x 6.5 x 6.5 cm
Betula platyphylla, the Asian white birch or Japanese white birch, is a tree species in the family Betulaceae. In Japanese, it is called 'Shirakaba'.
On the left side at the bottom of this kokeshi, it is written 'Shirakaba' in Japanese.
