Precious Natural Shikoku - Mesmerizing Blue Stone Basin Tsukubai
Japan, a large, handsome and unique antique natural organic shaped stone water basin planter -tsukubai- created from rare blue shikoku stone and sourced from a decades old garden. This is a unique and visually attractive garden planter or water basin fashioned by nature out of a solid blue-ish granite type of stone coming from southern Japan.
Also known as lyo stone, it is a very valuable Japanese stone type full of character. Shikoku stones are seen as national cultural heritage by the Japanese government, making export very difficult.

Substantial Dimensions: 19 inches tall and 38 inches wide and 22 inches deep; the interior bowl is approximately 17 inches in length and 8 inches depth perfect for flower plants or floating flower bouquets for special occasions.
This tsukubai possesses unique qualities and represents one of the finest old world Japanese garden antiques we have been fortunate to locate in our most recent Japanese acquisitions travels.
