About the Item
Large Balinese Barong carved and hand-painted wood dance mask of an ornate, colorful mythological creature.
Skilfully hand carved, with large bulging eyes, large teeth, and two snakes protruding from either side of the mouth. Snakes all around the head. It is painted with intricate details in bright colors.
Numbered to the back. It is made of three parts that join together.
The piece is in good vintage condition and was produced during the 20th century. Some age-appropriate wear.
