About the Item
This rare early 18th-century Burmese sculpture is a fascinating example of the art of the period. Made of wood, it is coated with a layer of lacquer and decorated with a gold patina, which enhances its refinement and elegance. With dimensions of: 50 cm width, 66 cm height and 20 cm depth.
Carvings of this type were traditionally created in northern Thailand, near the border with Burma, a region known for its rich artistic production.
This piece was exhibited at the prestigious Florence Antiques Show at Palazzo Strozzi in 1975, demonstrating its value and importance in the field of antiques.
Currently, the sculpture is considered a high-value collector's item.
