About the Item

BASE: 44"W X 30"D X 31"H BUDDHA: 62"H X 36"L X 22"D Seated Mountain Burmese buddha from a monastery in Northern Burma finished with papier mâché, lacquer and gilt accents. This unique solid figure presents an ensemble of a three-part wooden gilt gold hand-carved scalloped base atop a magnificent detailed square box platform. Details shown in photographs do not truly represent the intricate inlay of gilt and designs in the base. The headrest of our buddha is perfect and none of this sculpture has been restored.
