This cloth was used for futons and clothing in private homes, such as those owned by local farmers.
It is called "Boro," and is a beautiful, tasteful vintage cloth.
Most of the fabric is indigo-dyed. The fabric is thin. There are a few knotty threads.
Back then, new cloth was not easy to come by, so tears had to be repaired over and over again.
You can really feel the spirit of cherishing things.
A variety of vintage cloths, including indigo-dyed and patterned pieces, have been put together like a patchwork. How about using it as a wall hanging, etc.?
It has been washed, so there is no particular odor.
As it is vintage cloth, dust will fly up when you spread it out.
Please understand that there may be tears, repairs, and holes.
