About the Item
Magnificent 1980s vintage embroidered in gold on pink silk taffeta evening 3 pieces gown, vest, skirt and matching shawl.
The stunning beaded and sequined evening custom made Anglo Raj wedding pink silk taffeta blazer is detailed with gold of micro seed glass beads, gold tone round beads, gold lame threads as well as white pearls embellished on both sleeves.
The back of the vest is not beaded.
The sleeves and front are beaded with gold micro sequins and beads into a dazzling Indian pattern of scallops and rosettes.
The skirt and shawl are beaded with gold on silk taffeta and fully lined.
Many designers in the late 1960s till today turned for inspiration to the Middle East, India and Morocco.
This 3 pieces set gown is used by the bride in Indian wedding.
Very reminiscent of 1930s evening jackets.
