This late 19th-century quilted silk kaftan is a radiant example of Central Asian textile artistry. Woven in shades of magenta, green, and gold, its surface displays intricate vegetal patterns that shimmer with movement and light. The composition—ornate yet harmonious—reflects the refined balance of geometry and elegance characteristic of the region’s finest textile work.
