Taisho-Early Showa period Japanese Stencil-Dyed Summer Kimono with bamboo Motif A light-weight summer kimono woven of both cotton and silk, and patterned with delicate bamboo and go-board motifs over a field of vertical bands of gradated indigo blue. Made of cotton, silk, and natural dyes with a rice paste stencil-resist dyed / katazome technique.
