About the Item
Vintage Savunese Ikat Sarong (Ei), a tubular warp ikat cotton ankle length garment with two large wide decorative bands with five large abstract (Hubi Ae) floral motifs in reserve on a brown ground, interspersed with smaller bands having other abstract forms of diamonds and serpentss in ikat reserve on a morinda red background. Machine sewn together on center, as seen, top to bottom. Folded in half with the selvedges machine sewn together creating a tube garment.
Excellent condition.
