About the Item
This is a fantastic set of Louis XVI style chenets with the connecting fender that have wonderful neoclassical style elements including swag and acanthus leaf decorations, a protecting lion's head and urns with a flame on top, the gold gilt brass adds a rich color.
Each chenet has a larger and a smaller urn, one of the smaller urns has been broken and unprofessionally repaired. The mend did not hold but some of the material that was used is still present and there is discoloration to the metal near the repair. This imperfection is hard to see because it is under the bulbous part of the urn and the set is in otherwise nice condition.
The chenets measure 15 inches wide, 7 inches deep and 15 1/2 high. The fender measures 5 inches high and 23 1/2 inches wide.
