Pair of brass andirons for Saarinen Swanson Group by J. Robert Swanson, Pipsan Swanson Saarinen and Eliel Saarinen, c.1940s, USA.
Pipsan, part of the famous Saarinen created this pair of andirons along side her husband Robert Swanson under her father, Eliel Saarinen's company. The andirons showcases a simplistic modern design with three feet and a tall stem at the front. The brass andirons are patinated in accordance with their age and use.
