A fine pair of French 19th century Louis XV style figural gilt bronze and silver plated bronze chenets, each surmounted by a triton blowing a seashell Horn, resting on a pierced rocaille gilt bronze base. Stamped "GJL 956" and "EM 361" on the reverse, Paris, circa 1890. Measures: Height 16 1/4 inches (41.5 cm). Width 18 inches (45.7 cm). Depth 10 inches (25.4 cm).
