About the Item

Magnificent architectural limestone arch originating from an 18th-century French château, carved from white limestone (pierre calcaire blanche). This grand piece features a triangular pediment resting on a richly molded arched opening, supported by volute-shaped jambs with classical detailing. The arch embodies the elegance and strength of French neoclassical architecture, combining symmetry and refinement. The stone’s surface displays a beautiful natural patina with traces of age, including light moss and weathering, which testify to its authenticity and centuries of history. This piece can be reassembled and integrated into restoration projects, architectural gardens, or high-end interior designs as a striking entrance or focal feature. Year of Production Circa 1750 Condition Good antique condition with natural surface wear and age-related patina. Minor losses and moss traces consistent with outdoor exposure. Structurally solid and complete.
