DESCRIPTIVE SHEET — Tropical Pavilion by Ferdinand Fillod Context and Rediscovery • Designed by Ferdinand Fillod, a pioneer of prefabricated metal structures. • Presented in 1947 as a prototype during an urban planning and housing exhibition. • The model restored by Clément Cividino is one of the last known surviving examples. Architecture Technical Features • Structure: Framework composed of prefabricated metal arches. • Materials: Ribbed metal panels clipped or bolted together. • Roof: Double-roof system providing natural ventilation. • Dimensions: Approx. 90 m² plus a 30 m² terrace. • Original purpose: A modular and demountable dwelling. Restoration by Clément Cividino • Rediscovered after having been abandoned for many years near Marseille. • Carefully restored with the help of specialized craftsmen. • Exhibited since 2025 at the Terra Remota estate (Catalonia).
