An early 19th century French Louis xv limestone fireplace mantel.
The moulded and profiled shelf is integral to the frieze which is centred by a beautiful acymetrical shell and is carved from the solid.
The curled leaf endblocks are supported by double paneled and rounded jambs supported by rounded solid footblocks.
