About the Item

An unusual rectangular push-pull door handle made of patinated bronze, featuring a raised textured and contoured design. 20th century design, found in Germany. The piece is nicely made, and unusually heavy - with a hand-crafted feel. It is in vintage condition with mid brown to dark chocolate brown tones to the metal. The curved bracket is attached to the main plate of the handle on the reverse using two bolts, which we have not tried to remove. There are age-appropriate signs of wear, and changing tones to the patina with some signs of oxidation. See images and zoom in for examples and overview. The patina has been left as found. Installation is through holes in the mounting plate using bolts as suit the thickness of your door and weight of the metal; fixings not included. The bracket of this handle is below the left side in the main image, but this piece can be used either way. Approximate dimensions as shown in main image H: 16cm W: 14.2cm exc bracket or 15.5cm inc bracket D: 8.5cm to the top of the main plate, including the bracket Weight: 3.8kg
