Stainless Steel has a near indefinite life. our brass is warrantied for 1 year with a finish applied and is for interior use. You can request "living finish" for brass with no coating that will patina with age and use for interior or exteriors. If you request a clear coat for an exterior brass kit, it will not have a warranty due to differing exterior conditions.
Each kit is produced to fit your door and a questionnaire is issued upon purchase and your kit is produced to the maximum allowable width and height with consideration to your hardware.
We have 2 listings for either single or double doors. This listing is for the single door pattern. We produce the kit for doors up to 40" wide and 96" in height, with kits over 96" tall being Price On Request.
The kit attaches through a special adhesive which will not be able to be removed except with the use of very strong force, so they are permanent in the sense they will not come off, but can be removed down the line if absolutely required.
The material is either 100% solid architectural grade brass or Marine Stainless Steel - pipe is not used. The finish is genuine metal, not a painted surface. Pictured are some applications of the modernist design. Each kit includes a template to assist with application. Brass is not recommended for exterior unless you wish it to patina as no finish has a reasonable enough life, whereas with interior applications the finish will hold up. Stainless Steel has decades of use before showing any signs of patina.

Stainless Steel bars match Stainless Steel door lock handle/knob hardware, Satin Nickel and Satin Chrome. The Brass matches "Satin Brass" door hardware.

Custom produced here in the United States. 84" tall x 72" is the common measurement but we can produce in any size, single or double.
The video shows a door with hardware and a smooth textured paint that highlights what is possible for your door with a custom paint selected by the client and produced by Benjamin Moore using Aura Exterior. The customer also had us install a peephole as well and we incorporated this into the vertical bar. High quality construction with the best hinges, woods and hardware that can be used. All hand made. The key to the doors is the use of old Appalachian oaks to produce hard and strong door jambs with our material sourced through local yards and the woods all selected. Critical to a quality door is the true Stave Lumber Core construction which is as good as a wood door can be; strong and resistant to movement using either oak, poplar or pine depending upon the environment.
