About the Item
Exceptional set of 42 individual cast aluminum elements created by l’Oeuf Centre d’Etudes in 1972 for ISLO.
Relief decoration and in opposition with a sandblasted finish that brings a subtle pearly touch to the kinetic composition.
Model made under the reference “Taverny”.
Dimensions of each piece 15 x 15 cm, i.e. a total surface area of nearly 1 m2 allowing for numerous combinations, from the simplest to the most complex.
L’Oeuf Centre d’Etudes is a collective of architects, sculptors, designers and mosaicists whose activity has extended since the 1960s and over nearly thirty years in the service of public orders and major real estate projects, mainly on French soil.
The posterity of their work is notably linked to the search for "the animation of surfaces that organize the built and inhabited space of human beings".
In this regard, they have notably contributed to profoundly renewing the age-old art of mosaic to give it a contemporary plastic writing.
