About the Item

This early example of a very heavy industrial, highly secure Era padlock would have been used for locking precious vaults and secure storage. This padlock is from the 1930s and is a very high quality lock with a heavy gauge steel construction, which was insurance rated with its six leaver movement. The lock is in very good condition and retains its original steel key with the Era emblem. The lock has recently been polished, burnished and waxed, and it is working perfectly. An interesting collectable or fully functional for its original purpose. Era, the company was founded in 1838 in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom English circa 1930
