About the Item
A stylish antique art nouveau style stoneware pedestal sink with a white glaze finish and original nickel-plated fittings. This beautiful sink includes a range of character features including unusual taps – which tip forward to release the water – and parts of a Shanks and Co. pull up waste.
Interestingly, this large oval shaped antique sink is marked with an Argentinian maker’s stamp. However, is actually of English origin! Made at the beginning of the 20th century, this sink would’ve originally been made by an English manufacturer and rebranded for the export market. While its intended use was to be re-sold by an Argentinian reseller, it’s likely that this sink never left the country and has spent all its life in the UK.
With its unique heritage, original features and decorative art nouveau embellishment to the base, this reclaimed sink will make a character feature of any bathroom.
