About the Item
This beautiful double basin is made from a white and grey veined Carrara marble with brass taps and ceramic under-mounted basins.
There are no breaks or cracks.
Taps on the left basin both turn freely.
Taps on the right basin. Left feels seized, right turns.
Right basins tap has a shower head, but needs a new hose. Lever moves back and forth but is stiff.
Various small chips and minor stains to the marble.
Basins in good condition with no cracks, these are replacement basins, fitted around 20- 30 years ago. All taps have not been tested. The are holes behind both sets of taps.
Wear consistent with age and use. Minor Losses, scuffs, and scratches.

This impressive basin / sink and stand is made from white and grey Carrara marble, the tap is nickel plated. The under-mount bowl is made from a single piece of Carrara marble.
The taps have been reconditioned, including Nickel plating, and are in working condition.

Dating between circa 1890 to 1910 and twice the standard size, this sink is a Trone model, and incorporates Victorian and Edwardian styles. John Bolding and Sons was established in 1822 by John Bolding. It began as a brass foundry merchants, but by 1871 the firm had evolved into the sanitary world.
It began to develop an interest for “improvements in water closets and in valves and regulating apparatus for the same” as quoted in the London Gazette in 1871.
