About the Item

A 19th-century French door featuring three raised panels with grooved beveled trim detailing. Installing this door in a new home to enclose a pantry or linen cupboard will instantly add a layer of charm and character that modern mass-produced doors can't replicate. Salvaged in France, 19th century. One side of the door features the original 2-tone paint in shades of ochre; the opposite side bears the original deep brown with signs of craquelure. Original metal lock box hardware, and 3 half barrel hinges present. Minor wood loss and separation present, with overall condition consistent with age and use. Approximately 28.75” W x 66.75” H x 1.25” D.
