A fine large antique American Federal eagle brass door knocker, circa 1900. This regal door knocker is nicely cast and heavy, weighing over 2.5 lbs, in the form of a stately eagle with outstretched wings and a center shield design in a lovely brass patina. Renowned interior designer, Charles Faudree, in his book French Country Signature, says, "The first impression of a home often begins at the front door." This impressive door knocker is the perfect decorative accent for your front door and would also be a wonderful housewarming gift.
