About the Item

Charming pair of 19th century wrought iron window grills. The pair served as a gate for decorative and security purposes with one having a hasp. Each one has bowed scroll work adding depth and dimension to their beauty with floral detail. They display a weathered patina with surface rust and chipped paint adding great character. Excellent accessories for a garden but may also be used indoors as a unique architectural element. Beautiful to partition a small area of a garden or to flank an entrance to a terrace. Great for climbing plants too. They sit askew due to the nature of their design as the outer sides are intended to be affixed to a structure but may easily be secured evenly within the ground.
