About the Item

Portugal / 17th century/ Monastery doors / oak, metal / Rustic / French Provincial / Antique Beautiful large solid oak double panel monastery doors from Portugal. The original hardware is still present. The oak is finished in its old terracotta-colored, weathered varnish and has a beautiful patina. The doors have each two panels with simple geometric carvings. They are heavy and rot-free, with occasional old (treated) woodworm holes. Handmade in the 17th century. This robust and stylish set of antique doors, made entirely of wood with a beautiful symmetrical panel layout, has a warm, timeless look. The classic design seamlessly blends with modern and traditional decor, allowing you to enhance your interior aesthetic effortlessly.
