About the Item

Worn by time and softened by layers of pale, cool white paint, this pair of antique French fir doors tells a quiet story of age and authenticity. The two-panel design is simple and symmetrical, with a subtle beveled profile that adds just enough depth without distracting from their naturally distressed surface. Bits of the wood grain peek through the original paint, and weathered patches hint at decades of use and exposure. These doors offer architectural character and a soft, neutral palette that fits easily into modern or traditional spaces alike. Whether installed as working doors or repurposed as decorative panels, they lend a grounded, lived-in quality that’s hard to replicate. Salvaged in France, late-19th century. The doors are crafted from fir wood and can either be used to enclose a built-in wardrobe or attached to a barn slide to enclose an interior space. Both sides of the doors feature a timeworn shade of cool white paint. The original ornate brass escutcheons are present. 6 half-barrel hinges are attached. Minor wear to the paint, with overall wear consistent with age and use, no structural damage. Approximately 39.25" W x 94" H x 1.25" D.
