About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely original Hungarian hand painted security door dating from 1922 used for stopping looting after the war A very good looking piece, ideally suited as decoration only, it was made as a security door in Hungry to use after the war when looting was rife due to the poverty, lack of work and so on This is an original paint piece, initialled, and dated, totally unrestored and looking as period as can be Dimensions Height 200.3cm Width 100.5cm door alone, 104.5cm including hinge Depth 1.8cm door only, 11cm including lock fitting Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
