About the Item
An 18th Century Georgian fire grate In the manner of George Bullock. This substantial cast iron grate dates back to circa 1780 and is in outstanding condition for its age, with little signs of use and no warping or loss to the frame or basket.
The clawed feet stand atop boxes that hide discreet castors for easy installation and cleaning. The legs are draped with a falling scroll topped with a crest or seal. Each side of the basket has a flat shelf. The wide back plate has a timeless symmetrical pattern that would suit modern and classical interiors alike.
