A 19th century decorative serpentine brass and steel dog grate. The railed basket flanked by engraved dragon pierced wings edged with beading are set over a pierced fret and square tapered column legs. Urn finials uppermost. Rear elements include decorative fire back and rivet-work grill. Restored. Circa 1890
