19th century French fireback with the god Apollo driving horses and a carriage. God of light, sun, truth, prophecy, music, joy and horses. Also the saving God, both in emergency caused by an epidemic or an invasion of enemies, as in any other emergency.
The fireback has a natural brown patina. Upon request it can be made black / pewter colored with stove polish at no extra cost. The fireback is in a good condition and can be used in the fireplace or as a backsplash.
