About the Item

19th century wrought iron andiron firebox set is a master work of the blacksmith's art, forged from red-hot iron to last several lifetimes! The intricate scrollwork and foliate motifs are the mark of a true master craftsman! The firebox is a completely separate unit so is optional to use. A rosette is centered on the firebox, which is enclosed on all sides and finished on the back panel with acanthus flourishes. Complementary flourishes comprise the andiron design for a beautiful effect. Circa 1880s Andirons each measure 26 H x 14 W x 20 D.
