About the Item

Elegant Louis XV-style firescreen dating from the early 20th century, featuring a beautifully hand-painted oil scene depicting a couple in period costume within a charming winter setting. The delicate execution and soft palette add a romantic, decorative touch to the piece. The carved wooden frame, richly sculpted with curves, scrolls and rococo motifs typical of the Louis XV style, enhances the refinement and decorative presence of the firescreen. A perfect blend of craftsmanship and early 20th-century elegance. A highly decorative piece, ideal for placing in front of a fireplace, whether in a classic living room, a Haussmann-style apartment or an eclectic interior. Condition: Very good overall condition with minor age-related marks. A charming and characterful piece—both decorative and increasingly rare in this condition.
