19th-20th century French neoclassical fireback with two pillars of freedom. The pillars stand for the value liberty. This is one of the three values of the French revolution (liberté, égalité and fraternité).
The fireback is made of cast iron and has a black / pewter patina. The fireback is in a good condition and has no cracks.
