About the Item

A Georgian cast iron fire grate finished in black graphite. This unusual piece, possibly originally on a stand, has a hole through the base and notch at the back. Underneath the rim, a scrolling design wraps around the body. With sweeping handles and an open toothed front, this petit bowl grate would make a wonderful display dressed with dried logs and branches.
