About the Item
This is a very early numbered custom edition sculpture by German metal artist Günter Scholz, who is well-known as the creator of over 450, more diminutive yet surprising metal figurines signed Hinz and Kunst, which is a language play on these common first names that essentially means "art for all". His sculptures represent lovable characters and types and are handmade from nuts, bolts, sheet metal and other metal parts.
This fireplace tool set is uncharacteristically large and utilitarian compared to the more common figures which typically are not larger than 12 inches high.
One thing in common is all the characters wear eyeglasses.
Set includes figure of engineer with cap and apron holding basket for wood, a brush, shovel, fork and hooked poker.
