Richly carved gilt wood fire screen in the Louis XV rocaille style featuring a superb polychrome tapestry enhanced with pearls decorated with an animated scene (confidences of a "fortune teller"). French work from the 19th century (Napoleon III period). Heavy wear and tear to the gilding (not without charm), tapestry in good to very good condition (a few small, non-serious snags)
