About the Item

Love receives advice from Prudence (with snake). Prudence and Love are both virtues. Prudence is one of the four cardinal virtues: "the hinges upon which the door of the moral life swings". They are especially important because they are supposed to be present in any other virtue. For example, who behaves friendly in a reckless (Prudence) or unjust (Justice) manner, or who is unable to moderate his kindness (Temperance), or lacks the courage (Courage) to be friendly if that may cause danger, doesn't really possess virtue of kindness. The fireback has a natural brown patina. Upon request it can be made black / pewter color with stove polish at no extra cost.
