About the Item
A magnificent polished steel Regency serpentine fireplace fender, the central rectangular tablet with incised circular patera. The surrounding frieze with pierced and engraved oval patera enclosed with harebells all set between beaded mouldings. The foliate detail is superbly hand-crafted to harebells and flanks the openwork. Restored.
