A fine pair of English antique brass ball-finial andirons, each with a well-proportioned spherical finial rising from a hexagonal plinth, above bold spur legs with ball feet and hand-forged wrought-iron rear dog legs.
The brass displays a deep, even patina, complemented by the ironwork’s honest, utilitarian character. Late 17th century.
