A pair of elegant, tall classical style fire dogs, andirons, with tumbling floral decoration and topped urn finials, the front legs with pierced fret work. If you want your fireplace to be a real talking point, this stunning pair of plated fire dogs are for you. Traditionally, a pair of andirons or firedogs were used to support the logs in an open fireplace. They are used to hold the wood above the hearth so that air may circulate under the firewood, allowing better burning and less smoke. They are an essential item if the fireplace.
