About the Item

High quality cast brass and iron stationary fireplace screen, spark guard, made in France circa 20th century. The screen features a decorative foliate cast brass front depicting acorns and leaves arranged in a chain link pattern, attached to a cast brass frame. The backing is a heavy gage steel wire with a cast iron frame. This example is in excellent, original, clean and ready to use condition, showing only light cosmetic wear, normal and consistent with age.
